Caring for Communication (Communications Strategy)

Writer: caroline wagemancaroline wageman

The National Alliance on Mental Illness is an organization founded on the values of hope, inclusion, empowerment, compassion, and fairness. NAMI takes the step to educate, advocate, and listen to those who struggle with any mental illness. NAMI is the nation's largest mental health organization developing proactive resources and support. I believe that color, proportion, and shape as these elements of literal communication. Soft and straight to the point visuals will allow for a clear representation. I think that Serif font would reflect who NAMI is and how they are as a brand. I will use visual elements that help develop a pure aesthetic image to help maintain a positive brand and overall theme. I believe that these design elements will allow us to show the look and feel of the chapter. If these visual elements are used properly, it will allow for beneficial comprehension of information that is being portrayed. The visuals that are being used in my communications strategy will be imaged driven. Since NAMI is a mental health awareness organization, I feel that images are best for displaying how the organizations have impacted people. We can show the growth of an upset and sad person, to the happy and value of life because of the resources provided and the work that NAMI does. I believe that this is important because it showcases the progress of how it is important to take care of your mental health. They need to showcase positivity and growth. The images need to relate back to the values of NAMI as they believe in inclusivity, empowering people, and respect. My analysis has allowed me to see the main goals and type of organization that NAMI allows it to be. I was able to dive deep and see the intricate details of how NAMI works to better our world. We need to showcase that through these visual elements and design.
