Let's be real, a girl needs her room to be real cute in college. My room was a work in progress that I took all summer preparing and designing. I wanted to include neutrals like white and nude then have a pop of color. My chosen pop of color is pink, because it literally describes me as a person. Pink speaks to me because it is bright, exciting, and joyful. I take pride in my room because I was able to completely design it with my vision. One of my favorite items is the heart paintings over my bed. They were the final touch in my room because before I did not have anything. I needed to fill the wall space! You are unable to see the other wall, but I have these adorable pink and neon tigers. They are framed in white and gold frames. My dresses always has fresh flowers and a vase full of pampas grass. The iconic item in the room is my barefoot dreams blanket. Check out Nordstrom Rack to get the one that I have! They have many different styles but I decided to stay with the classic soft pink as it worked well with my room. I enjoy soft and classy bedding. I went the standard white bedding route to allow me to decorate in other places. Sometimes the bedding does not allow for other decorations to be present. One of my favorite things about my room is my white zebra carpet. It is hard to tell in this picture, but I got it at overstock on Sale! This carpet is very minimalistic, but it makes a design statement. I decided instead of using a carpet all over my room that I would put it towards the end of the bed. If you want to use space on the dresser, go find pampas grass to put in a tall vase. This allows space to be filled and gives your dresser some dimension! I have loved getting to style my room and make it such a safe place.
